This week has been pretty good in terms of getting things accomplished, but I still feel really bogged down by not accomplishing everything I’d wanted to do.
At least I happily spent a lot of energy on family history and writing forĀ Old Family Stories, a blog I started specifically to keep track of my family history-related goings on. I attended RootsTech in early February (immediately on the heels of Sundance Film Festival) and decided that the subject-specific blog would be good to help me keep track of all the family history stuff I’ve been doing. So far, so good. I want to create a new child theme for the WordPress site before I actually share it with my family… so yeah, I am maintaining two blogs without an audience right now. At least I know my extended family will be somewhat interested in learning old stories and seeing photos that I’m slooooowly digitizing.
I have a growing pile of small packages by my desk that I need to actually mail.
The best news of the week is that the reclining chair I ordered for my office should arrive at the furniture store tomorrow, and then I can schedule a delivery date. I am so ridiculously excited about this chair, it’s ridiculous. I wrote a little bit about it already this evening, and I am sure that I will want to write more about it once it’s here.
For now, though, it’s late and I don’t think I’m going to write anything more productive. I need to be up early to finish a paying project. Blogging more regularly this past week made me remember that it gets easier when you build it into your routine. Now I need to to figure out what that routine might be…
